+ objective

Using the reacTIVision and TUIO framework, a flexible table-top TUI environment based on computer vision, students develop concepts for their own table-based tangible interface such as musical instruments, educational toys, design tools or other table based interactive interfaces based on object tracking and multi-touch interaction. Tangible User Interfaces allow the seemingless integration of the digital world into our everyday environment. The lecture will provide an overview on tangible interface concepts in general covering human computer interaction focusing on touch. We will also discuss various technologies and hardware design issues for this type of interfaces.
